This will be mostly water tight as is, I tested the one pictured and had no leaks after several days, but if you want to keep water in it long term I suggest coating the inside with some sort of resin as the colorant may leach out into the water and the water may find its way in-between the layers of the print and if you want to use anything more than water you want to prevent it from damaging the vase itself. Obviously not a problem if using synthetic or dried flowers.
